Getting To Know Your Computer

Everyone is using computers these days – or so it seems. But there are still a significant number of people who have not yet been offered that opportunity. Here at the CWU we believe that everybody deserves that chance. This is the first of three introductory workbooks covering the basics of using a computer. All three workbooks are downloadable for those who have yet to develop confidence in using IT. It is envisaged that Union Learning Reps will help members work through these books and help them to gain the confidence to use the other courses on this site.

In this workbook we will get used to treating the computer as just another tool. We will use a desk-top computer to explain how the computer works, because that is where the components are most visible.
