From here you can access hundreds of different courses, including English, maths, IT, professional qualifications and hobbies. The courses highlighted by subject below are just a fraction of the very many more you can access through the sites listed under General Learning. These offer a wide range of subjects at many different levels to suit our diverse needs.

Wherever possible, we signpost to courses that are free of charge, but some sites listed below offer a mixture of free courses, those for which fees apply and those for which loans are available. While we acknowledge that taking higher level courses can result in increased salaries and better paid jobs, we are concerned that the current system of loans transfers too much financial risk onto individuals. We believe that the fairest way to finance education is through a fair and properly resourced taxation system, without loopholes.

In the meantime, it would be remiss of us not to include a full range of available courses on our site. Where courses are financed through fees or loans, the course providers will talk you through the process.
