The CWU introduced a series of bitesize learning sessions to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Race Relations Act. The cycle of immigration in the UK is well documented as is the indisputable value that immigration has brought to a number of sectors. Race Relations is still very problematic in this country and in these sessions we look at the things like the context behind the law coming in, episodes of black organising and industrial battles, how the law protects us in the workplace when it comes to Race. The final session was recorded in-person at our Equality Conference in Bournemouth and touched on where we are today and the growth of the far-right.
