Blood Pressure Checks in the Workplace

58 people recently took part in having their blood pressure checked on the early shift at Swindon Mail Centre. This resulted in two people being identified with very high blood pressure that they were previously unaware of and being able to now get treatment for it.

The event was organised by ULRs from South West No7 Branch with support from Voluntary Action Swindon. People were very happy with it – even through the nurses told a few people they could do with losing a few pounds!

The branch are planning to run similar events for the late and night shifts in September.
