CPR Training In South Wales
January 29 2025South Wales Branch recently organised 4 sessions of CPR training for Swansea Tower. Students heard that there are 30,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests in the UK every year. Sadly, only 10% survive – but in Norway, where CPR is taught in all secondary schools, the survival rate is 24%. CPR stands for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. It is the process by which you can keep blood and oxygen circulating around the brain and body when an individual’s heart has stopped beating.
The organisers received fantastic feedback from the courses, with members saying they would be far more confident to perform CPR in future. Others said,
“The course was very informative, and they enjoyed it.”
“It’s good to know that I could potentially save someone’s life in future.”
“ Always handy to know, you never know when you may need it.”
