CWU Tackling Sexual Harassment
October 31 2025
The CWU is stepping up its commitment to tackling sexual harassment in the workplace with bold action and long-term planning. As part of our wider strategy, we’ve recruited a new cohort of sexual harassment awareness trainers who recently took part in intensive Train the Trainer development sessions at GFTU, Quorn Grange, combining tutor training with deep, impactful sexual harassment awareness work.
This marks an exciting step forward in our mission to ensure reps across the union are equipped to support members and challenge harassment wherever it occurs. Another cohort is set to begin training in the new year, and the Equality, Education & Development department will be piloting activity to roll out the training programme more widely in 2026.
This work is laying the foundation for a stronger, more informed network of reps—ready to lead the way in creating safer, more respectful workplaces across every sector we represent.
Kate Hudson, CWU Head of Equality, Education & Development, said, “This is about building confidence in our members and reps—ensuring they know the CWU is serious about tackling sexual harassment and has the resources, training and commitment to back that up.”
