CWU Women Shine at the TUC Women’s Conference

Our Union enjoyed the recent TUC Women’s Conference with a number of our delegates speaking on various subjects from Sexual Harassment Governance to Enhanced Rights for Women who experience pregnancy bereavement before 24 weeks. Tina Holmes from Leicestershire Branch moved our motion on Sexual Harassment Governance, which was unanimously carried.

There was an excellent meeting organised by Labour Left which was chaired by Maria Exall and our NEC Women’s Lead for Telecoms Jean Sharrocks was re-elected back on to the TUC Women’s Committee. The CWU team was also host to first time delegates Estelle Lockett from Bristol & District Branch who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The Conference was also visited by guest speaker Annaliese Dodds who is the current Chair of the Labour Party.
