CWU Women’s Networking Event Success

Almost 50 women reps from across the UK converged on CWU HQ for the first of what the department expects will be many Women’s Networking events.

The day saw a number of senior CWU women share their journeys giving inspiration to the women present with the clear message that if they could do it there was nothing stopping more women from progressing into senior roles within our structures.

The most recent CWU Live episode (EP8) on the YouTube channel interviewed a few of the women who gave the event a resounding thumbs up and they are already looking forward to the next one which will be held later in the year – details of this will be released soon.

The value of networking should never be underestimated. Women coming together to share their experiences, share their ideas, share best practice will always be a positive experience. We know our structures need to reflect the members we represent and these safe space opportunities will offer a vital path to women, inspiring them on to better things in the CWU.
