Howzat!! Another Successful Cricket Day at Gatwick

Abdur Rashid, who is the Equality Officer down in Gatwick Mail Centre (South East 5 Branch), has organised his latest event, which saw cricket teams from Gatwick and Mount Pleasant battle it for the annual cup. Abdur has developed a bit of a reputation for being an event organiser extraordinaire!

A number of NEC members came down to support the event, which included an appearance by the local Labour MP Peter Lamb and a number of councillors in the Gatwick area.

A local homeless charity was also the main beneficiary of the day with £100s raised for the good cause. There were other teams scheduled to take part from other parts of the country who sadly could not make it but it didn’t stop everyone present having a really good day.

Abdur also runs the local Sports & Social club which is very active with coach trips to various parts of Europe and the UK.
