Jubilee Members Build Digital Skills with New Website Design Course
October 15 2026
A new cohort of CWU members at Jubilee Mail Centre are swapping their usual tools for keyboards this month, as they participate in a dedicated Website Design course aimed at upskilling the workforce for the digital age.
The course, which kicked off on 7 October 2026, has attracted a keen group of members eager to understand how to build and manage professional-looking websites.
The training focuses on practical, hands-on skills that allow participants to create and customise their own web pages quickly and effectively. The goal is not only to give members a technical skill but to open up new possibilities.
Speaking about the initiative, Sarah Woolaghan, Branch Secretary, said:
“In today’s world, digital literacy is just as important as traditional organising skills. This course gives our members at Jubilee the ability to build their own platforms and tell their own stories. It’s about future-proofing our members and our union.”
The course is designed to be accessible to all, regardless of previous experience. Participants have been working towards creating their own functional web pages by the end of the course. The atmosphere is collaborative and engaging, with members helping one another navigate new terminology and technical challenges.
The CWU is committed to providing ongoing training and development opportunities for all members. Following the success of previous courses at Jubilee, there are plans to explore further digital skills and workshops in the future.
