Poetry At Work Day, 11 January 2022

Poetry At Work Day falls on Tuesday 11 January 2022. The CWU Poetry Club are celebrating by inviting CWU members to share poems that they have written or that inspire them.

It has been a tough couple of years. Have you taken to poetry to express your thoughts and emotions, or hopes for a better world? Or perhaps you have a favourite poem that inspires you or lifts your spirits?

Because poetry can be inspring, uplifting, moving or challenging – it can be what you want it to be. It can follow a traditional format or be free form. It can be written or spoken word.

To share your poems, send your entries or suggestions to pdovey@cwu.org by 9 January, using the title Poetry At Work. You can send videos (via We Transfer or similar), text or links to third party sites. If it’s something you lovingly wrote on paper take a clear photo and send it to us. If it is written by someone else, perhaps add a line to say why it connects with you.

If you want to find out more about poetry, we have several courses freely available to CWU members.

The CWU Poetry Club meets every Thursday evening on Zoom. Contact Paul Dovey on pdovey@cwu.org for more information.
