Postal Worker Tunnel Tours at the Postal Museum

Our friends at The Postal Museum are once again offering a limited number of bespoke Postal Worker Tunnel Tours, where postal workers get a chance to explore the Mail Rail tunnels on foot, exploring tracks and platforms that can’t be accessed from the Mail Rail ride.

The next scheduled dates are Friday 6th February and Saturday 28th March – but places  get booked up quickly so visit the Postal Museum website to secure your place.

Tickets cost £12.50 and are available to current and ex Postal Workers, who may bring a maximum of two paying guests each. Minimum age is 12 years old.

Each tour lasts approximately 1 hour 15 minutes, and covers 1.2km of tunnel. Please note the route involves walking on uneven ground in low-light conditions and involves stepping across rails and up onto platform areas.

Normal opening hours for the Postal Museum are, Tuesday to Sunday 10.00 to 17.00. For Christmas  it will also be open on Monday 22nd and 29th December – but it will be closed on Christmas & Boxing Day.
