The Race Relations Act first came into force in the autumn of 1965 – events in the period leading up to this saw a growing campaign to make race discrimination unlawful. The Bristol Bus Boycott and other colour-bar discrimination practices in employment necessitated this law change.
The CWU are delighted to host a new learning platform in the shape of bitesize learning! Over the course of a 4-week period there will be three online sessions all linked to Race Relations and we will be asking the perennial question, ‘Has Race issues improved over the last 60 years?’
The sessions commence on Thursday 25th September and conclude with the 4th session, which will be in-person at the CWU National Equality Event in Bournemouth on Thursday 16th October.
Full details on the Bitesize sessions can be found on the flyer in this article (QR code).
