Wales and the Marches Mental Health First Aid

On 17^th and 18^th February CWU Wales and the Marches region held a successful Mental Health First Aid course in Shrewsbury.

Delegates on the course included reps from both the postal and telecoms constituencies and came from a range of branches across the region. The course was co-taught by longstanding ULRs and Mental Health First Aid tutors Jan James and Ady Prins and received excellent feedback.

CWU Wales Project Worker Phil Cherrington said, ‘this was an amazing course that not only provided invaluable mental health knowledge but also inspired everyone involved to take positive steps towards their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their members. It was great to see reps from across the region come together to recognise the importance of mental health’.

CWU Wales and the Marches aim to build on the success of the course with further mental health courses and events throughout the year.
