Wales Union Learning Project Renewed

Education

CWU’s Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF) project has been renewed by the Welsh Government for the next three years.

In the coming years the project will focus on supporting learners to respond to emerging topics such as artificial intelligence and greening the workplace alongside continuing established work such as promoting essential skills and digital inclusion.

Jack Sargeant MS, the Welsh Government Minister for Culture Skills and Social Partnership said; ‘Through Wales Union Learning Fund projects, trade unions are playing a pivotal role in strengthening relationships between employers and workers with union led skills and workforce development in workplaces across Wales. For 25 years, WULF has been a beacon of how we do things differently through our social partnership way of working – we look forward to this next round of WULF projects and to building on the successes of the last 25 years.’

CWU Wales Project Worker Phil Cherrington said; ‘It’s great to see Welsh Government reaffirming its commitment to union learning and supporting our project. Our WULF project will continue to help our members throughout Wales take advantage of the support, advice, and training offers provided by WULF.’
